I decided to shoot at Pizzeria Lola for my first shoot. They have a giant Italian wood fired oven from Italy and a chef that really knows how to use it. Ann Kim chef and co-owner is certified as a pizzaiola by the International School of Pizza, the only school in the United States affiliated with the Scuola Italiana Pizzaiolo in Italy. Lola opened on November 16th of last year and was an immediate success. It was as if the neighborhood had been dying for a quality pizza place that you could walk to. Ann and her crew came to the rescue and were rewarded with a full dining room night after night. My favorite on the menu it the "Sweet Italian".
